Albida to the most respected lady of the country

Eventually, she passed way
...............................
she left this world
.................................
And she started her new life in the heaven.....
.......................................................................
She is Shushila Koirala
.........................................
popularly known as Shushila Bhauju,
............................................................
and wife of epoch-making leader BP Koirala
...........................................................
...........................................................
May her departed soul rest in peace in heaven
.............................................................................
....................................................................
Sushila was born in 1923 in Taulihawa and married BP in 1936 at the age of 13 ...
....She went to the Banaras Hindu University for higher studies. A trained Bharatnatyam and Kathak dancer, she made use of her dancing skills to earn money for the family during difficult times....
I have no say but to quote quote BP himself from his autobiography (pages 23 and 24) to describe Shushila Bhauju.......
---------------------------------
Page 23::: "I went to Calcutta to see Shushila. She was young and slim. She hadn’t studied much, but was very fair. She once survived kalazar. When I saw her, I felt a lot of regret. I had already seen her, therefore, couldn’t say no.”
Page 24: "However, this changed later. Sushila soon grew to be the popular member of our family. She was grew to beautiful so much so that my friends used to tell me she was very beautiful. I was so proud of her that I even placed a bet with fellow prisoners in the Hazaribag jail, claiming that my wife was the most beautiful lady in the world. My friends couldn't agree upon another name."

That “beautiful lady” died after a quarter century of BP’s death in 1982.

Is it state of Nepali journalism or state of mind?

Hi frens!

I can't avoid going through Nepali newspapers since I am a Nepali citizen. Editorial pages of country's national dailies are filled with articiles and opinions on Prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala's recent remark on 'baby king'. All the articles are based on the hypothesis on what Nepali media reported was true. Forget about these columnists and opinion makers--it is their job to provoke people and are free to make any kind of opinion no matter on what base they are forming their opinion--
Here is what and how nepali dailies carry news....All Nepali media came up with the news quoting Kishore Shrestha, editor of Jana Aastha weekley, populary known as gossip vernacular.
Actually, Koirala was talking to a delegation of Pakistani journalists where representatives of weekly-fortnight newspapers Network of Nepal were also present.
Shrestha was present at the meeting on the capacity of office bearers of the network. After the meeting, he issued a press release quoting Koirala.
All Nepali newspapers came up with the press release. Not a signle reporter of any dailies even bothered to verify with sources near to Koirala. Firends, I know reporters don't have access to Koirala to verify his remark. But, they could have tried to verify it with Dr Suresh Chalise, PM's foreign affairs advisor, who is found to have frequently quoted in Nepali media. They could have also contacted Pakistani journalists to verify it. The release that Shrestha issued might be true. However, with Koirala's denial to have made the remark with reporters, opinions formed on the "forceful hypothesis" that Koirala had said are absolutely ridiculous.
It don't know the fact. Koirala might have told it nor might not. As he himself denied the fact and alleged the reporters of misquoting him due to reporters' "Low English Comprehension Level" , opinion, articles, analysis on "forceful hypothesis" are nonsese.

Am I right friends?

What a nonsense decision?

Hi frens,

Our so-called historical legislature-parliament on June 12 decided that it can abolish monarchy if the monarchy conspires against the elections to the constituent assembly....
Just go by what Speaker Subas Nembang said to the legislature---"We can remove the king if he acts against the constitution, if he assumes executive powers unconstitutionally and against the wishes of the people."
What a nonesense decision..who will decide that the monarchy acted against the constitution (you know "the King" doesn't exist in our great interim constitution and how can a constitution tell anything about the institution that has not been mentioned)..

frens, the most ridiculous thing is:::how can this caretaker parliament do once the king assumes executive powers..what a nonesense, is not it??

This is just to fool us..who desperately want to abolish not only the king but also the culture of kingship from this country...
What do you think

PM vs YCL

Hi friends,

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's comment on Young Communist League (YCL) invited furore from his alliance partner CPN-Maoist's rank and file. The comment not only became an issue of heated arguements but edit-page of many national dailies are filled with the reaction and counter reaction to PM's comment.

We all know..YCL's activities are criminal. They never seem and work as responsible organisation of any political parties...Many people, if they are not extreme lefts, will agree to me on this point. Maoists, whatever people think, are not credible in anyway. This is my humble perception...(Hummm, don't think this is my opinion).. .They talk sweets on face but do exactly the opposite...(prachanda's revealation about the party's ties with late King Birendra is the evidence on it....frens, wait, i will write another piece on it..)

But, more objectionable is the way our humble Prime Minister made harsh comment on the YCL. ...ok.. i'll make the term more soft. it is irresponsible...PM Koirala, as I think, is comparatively responsible or say credible leader of this country..That's why he has been trusted to lead the process of making New Nepal...But, his credibility has gone over this comment on the YCL..

Ok..I won't say, credibility gone..because he can regain it by taking action against the YCL...First, he should not have made such comment publicly or if he is really saying it with due deliberations..he must take action against the YCL...at least to regain his loosing credibility...

Second, Koirala must have known he could have made his fellow leaders to make such comments to warn them..But, he did himself ... but in a very wrong time..the day after "corrupt" banker Sitaram Prasai (who was shielded by prominent leaders including GP himself) was taken under control by the YCL in the way millons of people wanted.

Koirala must know... times have changed ..not changed only....it has changed alot...His traditional mentality is not going to work now..he should know he is going to be outdated if he can't keep pace with the wishes of young generation...the days of safeguarding power and chair...by political manouvering and hiring people on cash,, have gone now..people want change...a bold and straight forward policies and working style...

Yes...people are not happy with YCL in anyway..Koirala may gain sympathy only if he can take action against the "Young Criminal League"...to make people terror-free and ensure there is no environment of fear to vote during CA elections...

Go..go..on PM....take action against YCL..now it has become ur personel credibility issues..

Get...Set...Go...

Mantrijyu, people are shocked for countless days

Hi frens,

If you go through Tuesday's newspapers, you will see a news item on finance minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat. According to the news, he broke into tears when he visited his ancestral house in Nuwakot that the Maoist had damaged by bombing. "This is, perhaps, the greatest shock of my life."

Hello mantri jyu, u just got shocked today!!!! ...pity on you..Yes, Mr democrat, I have sympathy on you but you must have known --people of these country have been getting shocked and have been weeping for countless days--say even years--because of obvious reason...

People were killed in round figure of six digit... Those were the days when human toll used to be counted in dozen...I think, you are more enlightened with the fact. (I can't deny the possibility of bloody days ahead if our democrats can't stop YCL's terror) .

But, you, being the influencial minister of the country and close confidant of the Prime Minister, should be able to discourage, stop and punish acts of terror unleashed by the bloody hands of YCL..If u can't do so, just quit politics and start meditating in your ancestral house.

You know... matri jyu..comprehensive peace agreement and peace talks with Maoist was sucess just because our humber democrats and "revolutionary" leaders agreed to forget the past and think making better future...

Matijyu, we agreed with our leaders and we forgot the 12 years of terror in the hope that we can make our future better...Devil may care the past..we are concerned about our future..If you can't .........You are right............will invite not democracy and republic but autocracy..!!!

Beware Mantriju!!!!! ur politics is at risk!!!!
